Few kilometers from Cisterna’s center there is Ninfa, also known as “the Pompeii of the Middle Ages” (F.Gregorovius) with its romantic lake, which is reflected in the tower of the medieval abandoned town. Caetani family created there a wonderful English-style garden, rich in flora and fauna and crossed by a river with crystal clear water. New York Times has defined it “the most beautiful garden in the world”.  Beside the garden there’s the Pantanello Park, to the protection and conservation of wetlands, their flora and fauna.

It is composed by five pounds, birdwatching points, and it is used as a rest stop for migratory birds. Ninfa is an Oasis of natural protection, Natural Monument and Area of ​​Community Interest which every year attracts visitors from around the world.
